ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်ကမှန်သည်ဟုဒေါက်တာဧမောင်က၎င်း​၏ကျမ်းစာမျက်နှာ၁၇နှင့်၁၈တို့တွင်အောက်ပါအတိုင်းဝေဖန်ထားသည်-

" An agreement to marry , if and when implemented by the parties living together , unquestionably will constitute marriage at Burmese Buddhist Law .

An agreement to marry is thus an essential step in the creation of marriage status .

Section 2 ( a ) of the Majority Act cannot be read as meaning " in the matter of celebrating marriage . " Also the words ' to act ' does not imply a physical operation ; to enter into an agreement to marry no less than to cohabit is ' to act '.

The High Court of Judicature at Rangoon in holding that nothing that does not bring about a change of status can be said ' to act ' read into the provisions of section 20 ( a ) something which is not there .

It would appear then , with respect , that the High Court of Judicature at Rangoon in Maung Tun Aung's case misdirected itself and that the rule laid down by the Chief Court of Lower Burma in Maung Gale's case is good law ."
